UGA Motorsports is a student-run organization committed to the design, manufacturing, and competition of cars. Operating under the UGA College of Engineering, we proudly host our FSAE IC, FSAE EV, and Champcar teams, providing students with professional hands-on experience in the automotive industry. Thanks to the support of our generous sponsors and dedicated faculty mentors, we empower students from all disciplines—engineering to business—to pursue their passions and be part of a collaborative team working towards a common objective:

Current events
Our team just made it back from Michigan with 38th place! For the first time in our short 6-year history our team completed endurance. This year, we were the 9th tech to pass teams, placed 8th in Business Presentations, and improved our performance in all aspects. All of our hard-work and dedication resulted in us jumping 24 places compared to our performance in 2024.

Our Story
In 2014, UGA Motorsports was founded under the Driftmier College of Engineering with the help of our faculty advisor, John Mativo. With expanding popularity, UGA Motorsports gathered enough motivated students to create the FSAE - IC team in 2018, making our first FSAE IC design in 2019 and competing in 2021. Since the creation of these teams, we have once more explored further possibilities and founded our FSAE - EV team in 2023.
In the last 10 years we have gone to many competitions and given 100’s of students the opportunity to engage in active learning, giving them professional experience to succeed.
